We at Baptist Health (Kentucky) are looking for a talented Cytotechnologist with excellent scientific and analytical skills to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests to detect cellular changes in tissue samples. If you have a strong work ethic and a passion for science, we want to hear from you!To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Cytotechnology. You should also be familiar with laboratory procedures and safety protocols and have experience with laboratory equipment. A current certification as a Cytotechnologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is a plus.Your critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this position. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various laboratory tests to detect cellular changes in tissue samples.
  2. Follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  3. Operate laboratory equipment.
  4. Analyze and interpret test results.
  5. Maintain accurate records of test results.
  6. Prepare reports summarizing test results.
  7. Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
  8. Provide technical guidance to laboratory personnel.

  10. Stay up to date on advances in cytotechnology and laboratory techniques.
