Additionally, you must have completed a residency or fellowship in Rheumatology, or have at least 2 years of experience in this specialty.   1. Provide specialized pharmaceutical care to patients with rheumatological conditions.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise and knowledge in rheumatology to improve patient outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and assess medication therapies for effectiveness and potential adverse reactions.
  5. Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
  6. Stay updated on new developments and advancements in rheumatological treatments and medications.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Verify prescriptions and dispense medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Work closely with insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate billing and reimbursement.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
  12. Act as a resource for other pharmacists and healthcare professionals on rheumatological medications and treatments.
  13. Adhere to all safety and quality standards in the pharmacy.
  14. Attend continuing education courses and maintain licensure and certifications.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Baptist Health and promote a positive image of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Pharmd Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy

  • Valid Pharmacist License In The State Of Kentucky

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy (Bcps) Or Ambulatory Care (Bcacp)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Pharmacy Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Rheumatology

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Rheumatologic Diseases, Treatments, And Medications, As Well As Current Guidelines And Best Practices In Rheumatology Care.
