Job Description

Baptist Health (Kentucky) is looking for a certified medical assistant to join our team and help provide exceptional care to our patients. We're looking for an individual who is passionate about health and wellness and has the skills and experience to deliver high-quality patient care.The ideal candidate will have a current certification from one of the following organizations: the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). They will also have a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting and a proven track record of providing excellent patient care.We value a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient satisfaction. We are looking for an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients and team members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent patient care and adhere to all medical protocols.
  2. Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of patient information.
  3. Assist physicians and other medical staff with patient care and follow-up.
  4. Perform basic medical tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
  5. Administer medications and document in patient charts.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Provide assistance with clerical duties such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.
  8. Answer incoming calls and address patient inquiries.
  9. Use medical software systems to update patient records.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
