- Greet and welcome patients to Baptist Health in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist patients with check-in and gathering necessary medical information.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms for patient visits.
- Take and record vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood draws and urine tests.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and examinations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Educate patients on proper healthcare practices and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other medical staff.
- Keep inventory of medical and office supplies and restock as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in training and continuing education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on medical advancements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the medical office.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant At Baptist Health Must Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Which Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Clinical Procedures.
Certification From A Recognized Accreditation Body: Candidates Must Possess A Current Certification From A Recognized Accreditation Body, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Doctor's Office Or Hospital, Is Preferred. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Patient Interactions And Perform Clinical Tasks Effectively.
Knowledge Of Medical Procedures And Terminology: A Certified Medical Assistant At Baptist Health Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Procedures And Terminology. This Includes Knowledge Of Medical Coding And Billing, As Well As The Ability To Accurately Record Patient Information.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working As A Certified Medical Assistant Requires Constant Interaction With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Administrative Staff. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
