Job Description

Baptist Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our Child Development Center team on a PRN basis. Our center provides a nurturing and educational environment for children of all ages, and as an Assistant Teacher, you will play an integral role in their growth and development. We are looking for individuals who are committed to the well-being of children and have a strong understanding of child development.   1. Assist in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities for children of all ages.
  2. Create a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow.
  3. Support the lead teacher in daily tasks and responsibilities.
  4. Observe and document children's behavior and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
  6. Follow all health and safety protocols and regulations.
  7. Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning environment.
  8. Attend staff meetings and training sessions to continue professional development.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  10. Display a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and working with children.
  11. Adhere to the mission and values of Baptist Health and the Child Development Center.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to children and families.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the learning experience for children.
  14. Flexibility to work on a PRN basis, including weekends and evenings.
  15. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Preference For Candidates With An Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or Related Field.

  • Previous Experience Working With Children In A Childcare Or Educational Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Child Development Principles.

  • Ability To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Evenings And Weekends, As Needed To Meet The Needs Of The Child Development Center.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Parents, Teachers, And Other Staff Members.

  • Current Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within A Designated Timeframe.
