Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations Coordinator Supervisor

Oversees the medication management of patients and the overall medication use process in the ambulatory setting, including but not limited to clinics, urgent care centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and infusion. Ensures appropriate and cost effective medication therapy by partnering with pharmacy and the supply chain. Provides leadership and support of the organizations clinical and financial initiatives. Conducts and/or facilitates educational activities that support safe medication use in the ambulatory setting. This includes educational activities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, nurses, providers, and other healthcare support staff. Functions as a pharmacy consultant to provide insight and coordination of medication-related issues for organizational partners including pharmacy, care management, and other stakeholders. Participates in facility or system committees as appropriate. Functions independently as a medication expert on multidisciplinary teams.
