Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Veterinary Technology Or A Related Field Is Required. Candidates With A Bachelor's Degree In Veterinary Science Or A Related Field Will Be Given Preference. Additionally, Candidates Must Have Completed A Veterinary Technician Training Program Or Have Relevant Work Experience In The Field.
Veterinary Knowledge And Experience: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Animal Anatomy, Physiology, And Behavior. They Should Also Have Experience In Handling And Caring For A Variety Of Animals, Including Dogs, Cats, Small Mammals, And Birds.
Technical Skills: Veterinary Technicians At Banfield Pet Hospital Must Be Proficient In Performing A Range Of Technical Procedures, Such As Administering Medications, Taking Blood Samples, And Performing Laboratory Tests.
