Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Assist veterinarians with patient care, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing treatment to animals.
2. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all medical records are up to date.
3. Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and perform in-house laboratory tests.
4. Monitor and maintain patient recovery, providing supportive care and monitoring vital signs.
5. Provide client education and counseling on animal health and care.
6. Clean and maintain all examination and treatment areas and equipment.
7. Schedule and coordinate appointments and procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
9. Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
10. Provide compassionate care for animals in a safe and humane manner.
