Veterinary Assistant

An understanding of veterinary terminology and excellent customer service skills are also essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners while demonstrating a commitment to their pet’s well-being.
2. Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and other medical procedures.
3. Administer medications and vaccines as instructed by the veterinarian.
4. Monitor and document the health of animals in the hospital.
5. Restrain animals for medical treatments and tests.
6. Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments.
7. Prepare and clean exam and treatment rooms.
8. Maintain accurate records of patient care and medication administration.
9. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
10. Educate pet owners on proper pet care and nutrition.
