
Sr Analyst, Financial Reporting & Analysis

- Conduct financial analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, including but not limited to revenue, expenses, and profitability, to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Prepare financial reports: Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Forecast and budget: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, utilizing financial data and market trends to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.
- Identify key performance indicators: Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities: Utilize financial data and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company, and provide recommendations for mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance: Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and compliance requirements, and ensure that all financial reports and analysis are accurate and in line with these regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with various teams, including accounting, operations, and sales, to gather and analyze financial data, and provide support for strategic decision-making.
- Develop financial models: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Improve financial processes: Continuously review and improve financial reporting and analysis processes to increase efficiency and accuracy, and support the company's growth.
- Mentor junior analysts: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, and support their professional development within the company.
Strong Financial Analysis Skills: The Sr Analyst Should Possess Advanced Knowledge And Experience In Financial Analysis, Including Financial Statement Preparation, Variance Analysis, And Financial Modeling. They Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Accounting Principles And Financial Reporting Standards.
Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: The Sr Analyst Will Be Responsible For Presenting Complex Financial Data To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management And External Auditors. Therefore, Strong Communication And Presentation Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Advanced Excel Skills: The Sr Analyst Should Be Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Have Experience Using Advanced Functions And Formulas To Analyze Large Datasets. Experience With Other Financial Software, Such As Sap Or Hyperion, Is Also Preferred.
Attention To Detail: In A Role That Involves Preparing And Reviewing Financial Statements And Reports, Attention To Detail Is Critical. The Sr Analyst Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Any Discrepancies Or Errors In Financial Data.
Relevant Education And Experience: A Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role. Previous Experience In Financial Reporting And Analysis, Preferably In A Large Corporation Or Public Company, Is Also Highly Desirable. Professional Certifications, Such As Cpa Or Cfa, May Also Be Preferred.
