Manager, Transportation & Logistics

Creates and implements the overall strategy for transportation and logistics for the Aluminum Cups business. Responsible for establishing and ensuring that the transportation and logistics needs of the Aluminum Cups business are addressed across all modes of transport, but with primary focus on: 3PL partnerships, full truckload, warehousing, less than truckload, intermodal, Customs brokerage, specialized equipment and ocean shipments. Focuses on standard operating process creation, implementation and continuous improvement and effective leverage of technology. Liaises with plant and carriers to coordinate weekly shipments to customers. Leads fellow Cups team members and 3PL partners effectively through influence. Partners with the Director of IBP and Customer Service and the Manager, Forecasting and Planning, to develop and implement long-term strategy for supply chain improvement and deliver improved operating results. Collaborates with customers, carriers and 3PL to identify waste and works through the Sales team to implement opportunities for shared cost savings. Responsible for defining the strategic direction of the Transportation and Logistics function and ensuring the day-to-day achievement of the supply chain deliverables.
