Manager, Plant Environmental, Health & Safety

1. Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures for the plant, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
3. Train and educate employees on safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and environmental regulations to promote a culture of safety and sustainability within the plant.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to safety protocols and processes.
5. Review and analyze incident reports to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
6. Oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and ensure that all safety equipment is up to date and in good working condition.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all safety and environmental activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits.
8. Keep up-to-date with all local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, health and safety and ensure compliance across all plant operations.
9. Lead investigations into any safety or environmental incidents and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
10. Collaborate with external agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and obtain necessary permits.
11. Develop and manage the plant's emergency response plan and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
12. Stay informed about industry best practices and new developments in environmental, health, and safety regulations and implement them within the plant.
13. Provide regular reports to senior management on the plant's environmental, health, and safety performance.
14. Manage and mentor a team of safety and environmental professionals to ensure the plant's safety and sustainability goals are met.
15. Represent the company in safety and environmental matters and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, communities, and stakeholders.
