  1. Assist underwriters in the evaluation and analysis of insurance risks for the Excess department.
  2. Conduct thorough research and gather necessary information to support underwriting decisions.
  3. Review insurance applications and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Communicate with brokers and clients to gather additional information and clarify any discrepancies.
  5. Prepare reports and presentations for underwriters to use in decision-making processes.
  6. Assist in the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and legal, to ensure all underwriting processes are completed efficiently and accurately.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to assist in risk assessment.
  9. Utilize analytical skills to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all underwriting activities.
  11. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously expand knowledge and skills.
  13. Uphold company values and maintain a professional and ethical approach to all underwriting activities.
  14. Assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with brokers and clients to ensure a positive and collaborative working environment.
  15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
