As a Senior Underwriter, you will use your extensive knowledge and expertise to assess and manage environmental risks, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.   1. Assess and manage environmental risks for businesses and individuals.
  2. Utilize extensive knowledge and expertise in environmental site pollution to make informed underwriting decisions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and teams to gather necessary information for underwriting environmental risks.
  5. Conduct thorough analysis of environmental data and provide recommendations for risk management.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to environmental site pollution.
  7. Work closely with claims and legal teams to handle any environmental-related claims.
  8. Train and mentor junior underwriters on environmental risk assessment and management.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely information.
  10. Participate in industry events and conferences to represent AXA Group and promote our environmental site pollution expertise.
  11. Monitor and evaluate the performance of environmental policies and adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of new underwriting products and services related to environmental site pollution.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of underwriting activities and decisions.
  15. Collaborate with other underwriters and departments to identify and implement process improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Environmental Regulations And Policies: A Senior Underwriter For Environmental Site Pollution At Axa Group Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Liability. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws Such As The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, And Liability Act (Cercla) And The Resource Conservation And Recovery Act (Rcra).

  • Strong Analytical And Risk Assessment Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Make Informed Decisions About Risk Is Crucial For A Senior Underwriter In This Role. This Includes Evaluating Potential Environmental Risks And Determining Appropriate Coverage And Premiums For Policies.

  • Experience In Underwriting Environmental Insurance Policies: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Environmental Insurance Policies. This Includes Experience With Various Types Of Environmental Coverage, Such As Pollution Liability, Site Pollution, And Remediation Cost Cap.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Underwriter, You Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Clients, Brokers, And Other Stakeholders. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effectively Negotiating Terms And Communicating Policy Details To Clients.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field: A Senior Underwriter At Axa Group Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field. This Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of Environmental Risks And Helps The Candidate Make Informed Underwriting Decisions. A Master's Degree In A Related Field May Also Be Preferred.
