Sustainability Officer

Aviva is looking for an experienced, passionate, and motivated Sustainability Officer to join our innovative and dedicated team. As the Sustainability Officer, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in driving Aviva’s commitment to sustainability. You should have a minimum of five years of experience working in sustainability or a related field, with a deep understanding of sustainability principles and best practices. You should also have a strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with a cross-functional team to achieve shared goals.The successful candidate will have a passion for environmental sustainability and be able to demonstrate their commitment to the cause. They should have an understanding of the financial implications of sustainability initiatives and be passionate about helping Aviva make a positive impact on society.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives that align with Aviva's overall sustainability goals.
2. Monitor and report on progress towards sustainability targets and objectives.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure sustainability initiatives are implemented effectively.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and represent Aviva at sustainability-related events.
5. Provide guidance and advice on sustainability best practices to internal teams.
6. Research and analyze sustainability trends and issues, and develop reports and presentations to communicate findings.
7. Develop and manage budgets for sustainability initiatives, and ensure that the initiatives are completed within budget.
8. Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops to promote sustainability awareness within the organization.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest sustainability practices and regulations and ensure that Aviva is compliant with applicable laws.
