  1. Evaluate and analyze complex merger and acquisition deals to determine potential risks and exposures for the company.
  2. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement risk management strategies for M&A transactions.
  3. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions and provide recommendations to senior management.
  4. Utilize underwriting guidelines and industry knowledge to assess and price risks associated with M&A transactions.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders involved in M&A deals.
  6. Review and negotiate insurance policies and endorsements to ensure they align with the company's risk appetite and guidelines.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and developments related to M&A transactions and incorporate them into underwriting practices.
  8. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as legal, finance, and claims to ensure seamless execution of M&A deals.
  9. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters and support staff.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies and processes for M&A business.
  11. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on underwriting decisions and address any inquiries or concerns.
  12. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at industry events and conferences.
  13. Continuously monitor and review the performance of M&A policies and procedures, making recommendations for improvement when necessary.
  14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry best practices and advancements in underwriting techniques.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In M&A Underwriting: A Senior M&A Underwriter At Aviva Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Mergers And Acquisitions, Preferably In A Senior Or Leadership Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Industry: Aviva Is A Leading Insurance Company, And The Senior M&A Underwriter Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Insurance Industry, Including Market Trends, Regulations, And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Analytical Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Financial Data And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills, Attention To Detail, And The Ability To Handle Large Volumes Of Data.
