- Evaluate and assess risks associated with management liability insurance policies
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices
- Oversee a team of underwriters and provide coaching and guidance to ensure quality and consistency in underwriting decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and capitalize on potential growth opportunities
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform underwriting decisions
- Review and approve complex or high-value insurance policies
- Communicate with brokers and clients to negotiate terms and conditions of insurance policies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize underwriting processes and procedures
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Keep up to date with industry developments and changes in legislation that may impact underwriting practices
Extensive Experience In Underwriting: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Management Liability Products, Preferably In A Senior Or Leadership Position.
Strong Analytical Skills: As A Management Liability Underwriting Manager, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Financial Data, Evaluate Risks, And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Legal And Regulatory Requirements: Aviva Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And As Such, The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Legal And Regulatory Requirements Related To Management Liability Insurance.
