We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Investment Director to join our team and oversee our Insurance and Pensions division. As an Investment Director, you will play a critical role in managing and growing our investment portfolio, with a focus on delivering strong returns for our clients.   1. Develop and implement investment strategies for the Insurance and Pensions division to ensure strong returns for clients.
  2. Oversee and manage the investment portfolio, including monitoring performance, analyzing risks, and making adjustments as needed.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends and investment opportunities to inform decision making.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as Risk Management and Finance, to ensure alignment of investment strategies with overall company goals.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and reports on their investments.
  6. Stay updated on industry developments and regulations related to insurance and pension investments to ensure compliance and mitigate any potential risks.
  7. Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, providing guidance and support to drive their professional growth and development.
  8. Monitor and manage budgets and expenses related to investments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as investment firms and consultants, to leverage their expertise and resources for the benefit of the company.
  10. Represent the company at industry events and conferences, networking and promoting Aviva's investment capabilities.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve investment processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Communicate and collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations on investment strategies and performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In The Insurance And Pensions Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Insurance And Pensions Industry, Including Current Market Trends, Regulatory Requirements, And Investment Strategies.

  • Proven Track Record In Investment Management: The Investment Director Should Have A Successful Track Record In Managing Large Investment Portfolios, Ideally In The Insurance And Pensions Sector. This Should Include Experience In Developing And Implementing Investment Strategies, As Well As Achieving Strong Returns For Clients.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As The Head Of The Insurance And Pensions Investment Team, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Develop A Team, Set Clear Goals And Objectives, And Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Excellent Analytical And Financial Modeling Skills: The Role Requires A High Level Of Financial Acumen, Including The Ability To Analyze Complex Investment Data, Develop Financial Models, And Make Data-Driven Decisions. The Candidate Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Investment Director Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Clients, Internal Teams, And External Partners. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
