  1. Develop and implement strategies for the management and growth of the construction underwriting and latent defects portfolio.
  2. Oversee the underwriting process for construction projects, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and make informed decisions on insurance coverage for construction projects.
  4. Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company.
  5. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify and target potential clients in the construction industry.
  6. Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless integration of construction underwriting and latent defects services.
  7. Manage a team of underwriters and provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality underwriting and customer service.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the construction industry.
  9. Review and approve policy wordings, endorsements, and other documentation related to construction underwriting and latent defects.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  11. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of the construction underwriting and latent defects portfolio.
  12. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in construction underwriting and latent defects to continuously improve processes and services.
  13. Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in construction underwriting and latent defects.
  14. Handle complex underwriting cases and assist with claim investigations and settlements when necessary.
