  1. Review and analyze insurance applications and related documents to determine risk and eligibility for coverage.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting analysis to ensure accurate pricing and coverage for financial lines insurance products.
  3. Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to develop tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  6. Proactively identify and escalate potential risks or issues to management for resolution.
  7. Monitor and review policy renewals and make necessary adjustments to coverage and pricing.
  8. Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and assist with their training and development.
  9. Utilize underwriting guidelines and standards to maintain consistency and quality in decision making.
  10. Effectively communicate underwriting decisions, policies, and procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and finance, to ensure efficient and effective management of policies.
  12. Participate in industry events, conferences, and training sessions to expand knowledge and stay current on industry best practices.
  13. Ensure compliance with company underwriting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  14. Assist with developing and implementing strategies to improve underwriting processes and achieve departmental goals.
  15. Continuously assess and improve underwriting practices to maintain and enhance the company's financial stability.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Financial Lines Products, Such As Directors And Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, And Cyber Liability.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Laws, Regulations, And Industry Trends.

  • Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills.

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Negotiate With Clients, Brokers, And Other Stakeholders.
