  1. Design and implement data solutions using Snowflake to support business objectives and drive impactful insights.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop efficient data pipelines.
  3. Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to support data analytics and reporting.
  4. Optimize and troubleshoot existing data processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve data quality and performance through data governance and data validation techniques.
  6. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in Snowflake and other relevant data tools.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert on Snowflake and provide guidance and support to other team members.
  8. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide timely and accurate data solutions.
  9. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data solutions to ensure high-quality and efficient deliverables.
  10. Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues and make recommendations for process improvements.
  11. Document data processes, data dictionaries, and other relevant documentation for future reference.
  12. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  13. Communicate project updates, issues, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  14. Continuously identify opportunities for process automation and optimization within the data architecture.
  15. Collaborate with other data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to drive a data-driven culture within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Snowflake: The Ideal Candidate For A Data Engineer (Snowflake) Job At Aviva Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Snowflake, Including Its Architecture, Data Loading And Querying Capabilities, And Best Practices For Data Modeling. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Writing Efficient Sql Queries And Have Experience With Snowflake-Specific Features Such As Zero-Copy Cloning And Data Sharing.

  • Experience With Data Warehousing And Etl Processes: A Data Engineer At Aviva Should Have Experience With Data Warehousing Concepts And Etl (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes. They Should Be Able To Design, Implement, And Maintain Data Pipelines That Efficiently Extract Data From Various Sources, Transform It, And Load It Into Snowflake.

  • Knowledge Of Cloud Computing And Infrastructure: Since Snowflake Is A Cloud-Based Data Warehouse, A Data Engineer At Aviva Should Be Familiar With Cloud Computing Concepts And Have Experience Working With Cloud Infrastructure, Preferably On Aws Or Azure. They Should Also Be Able To Optimize Snowflake's Performance Using Features Such As Virtual Warehouses And Auto-Scaling.

  • Programming Skills: Data Engineers At Aviva Should Have Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As Python, Java, Or Scala. They Should Also Be Familiar With Tools And Frameworks Commonly Used In Data Engineering, Such As Apache Spark, Kafka, Or Airflow.

  • Data Modeling And Data Governance Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Data Engineer (Snowflake) Job At Aviva Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Data Modeling Principles And Experience With Data Governance And Data Quality Initiatives.
