Claims Adjuster

Aviva is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Claims Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and settling insurance claims in order to minimize costs for the company. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional problem-solving skills, an ability to remain organized, and excellent communication skills. You should also be able to work with people of all backgrounds and all levels of insurance knowledge. Responsibilities: • Assess and determine the validity of insurance claims • Negotiate settlements with claimants to minimize company costs • Investigate insurance claims to determine coverage and liability • Prepare and maintain detailed records of claims, including the negotiation process • Utilize computer software and databases to resolve claims • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding claims • Remain up-to-date with state insurance laws and regulations • Create reports to summarize the status of claims • Maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues • Manage multiple claims and meet tight deadlines • Make recommendations for improvements to the claims process
