- Greet and welcome patients and their families to the unit in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and coordinate patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
- Order and maintain office supplies, ensuring adequate levels at all times.
- Communicate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information to patients and their families regarding unit procedures and policies.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and faxing.
- Collaborate with other unit secretaries to ensure coverage and support for the unit.
- Adhere to all hospital and unit policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills
