  1. Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient.
  3. Position patients for optimal imaging results and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  4. Review and interpret imaging results, and communicate any abnormalities or concerns to the ordering physician.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
  6. Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and stay current with industry standards.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  11. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Educate patients and their families on the ultrasound procedure and answer any questions or concerns.
  14. Handle any patient complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Adhere to all Atrium Health policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Must Have A Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.

  • A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As An Ultrasound Technologist In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Must Be Registered Or Eligible For Registration By The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Ultrasound Equipment, Techniques, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Team Members And Patients Of Diverse Backgrounds.
