- Perform highly specialized tissue typing tests to determine the compatibility of donors and recipients for organ transplants.
- Maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and results.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate testing.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling and testing biological samples.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during testing.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in tissue typing technology and techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement new protocols and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families during the organ transplant process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall success of the organ transplant program.

- Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology, Genetics, Or Medical Laboratory Science.
Certification As A Histocompatibility And Immunogenetics Technologist (Cht) By The American Board Of Histocompatibility And Immunogenetics (Abhi).
Prior Experience Performing Histocompatibility Testing, Including Hla Typing And Antibody Screening.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Complex Data.
