  1. Perform adult ultrasounds under the supervision of experienced sonographers.
  2. Demonstrate a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and a willingness to learn and improve skills.
  3. Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to develop knowledge and expertise in sonography.
  4. Follow established protocols and procedures for conducting adult ultrasounds.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding during procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed and patient information.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Demonstrate professionalism and compassion while interacting with patients and their families.
  10. Keep up-to-date with advancements in sonography technology and techniques.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for growth and development in the field of sonography.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Sonography Program: Atrium Health Requires All Candidates For The Student Adult Sonographer Trainee Position To Have Completed A Recognized Sonography Program.

  • Basic Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Human Anatomy And Physiology In Order To Accurately Perform Ultrasound Exams.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Member Of The Healthcare Team, The Student Adult Sonographer Trainee Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Ability To Follow Protocols And Procedures: The Job Of A Sonographer Requires Strict Adherence To Protocols And Procedures. Candidates Must Be Able To Follow These Protocols Accurately And Consistently.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: The Images Produced By A Sonographer Are Used By Physicians To Make Important Medical Decisions. Therefore, Candidates Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Produce High-Quality Images.
