
Sports Medicine School Based EMT

- Provide immediate medical care on the field for student athletes during games, practices, and other sporting events.
- Evaluate and assess injuries and provide appropriate treatment and referrals.
- Administer emergency medical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each athlete.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, athletic trainers, and other medical staff to ensure coordinated care for athletes.
- Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on injury prevention and proper medical protocols.
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and medical guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop and implement comprehensive injury prevention and treatment plans.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest developments and research in sports medicine.
- Provide emotional support and compassion to injured athletes and their families.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Be available for on-call or emergency situations.
- Travel to various schools and sporting events as needed.
- Represent Atrium Health and the Sports Medicine program in a positive and professional manner.
- Act as a role model for student athletes by promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Current Emt Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Candidates For Their Sports Medicine School Based Emt Job To Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Emergency Medical Care In A High-Stress Environment.
Sports Medicine Training: Atrium Health Values Candidates Who Have Received Specialized Training In Sports Medicine. This Could Include Coursework In Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Or Other Related Fields.
