Fluency In Spanish: The Primary Qualification For A Spanish Healthcare Interpreter At Atrium Health Is Proficiency In Both Written And Spoken Spanish. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Interpret Medical Terminology And Communicate Effectively With Spanish-Speaking Patients.
Medical Interpretation Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Spanish Healthcare Interpreters To Have A Certification In Medical Interpretation, Such As The National Board Of Certification For Medical Interpreters (Nbcmi) Or The Certification Commission For Healthcare Interpreters (Cchi).
Knowledge Of Healthcare Terminology: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Both Spanish And English. This Includes Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Common Medical Procedures And Treatments.
