  1. Oversee patient flow within the healthcare facility, ensuring timely and efficient movement of patients throughout their stay.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise to assess patient needs and make appropriate decisions regarding patient placement and care.
  3. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement processes for optimizing patient care and improving outcomes.
  4. Monitor and manage bed availability, making necessary adjustments to accommodate patient needs.
  5. Communicate with healthcare staff, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as patient registration and discharge planning, to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient movements and assist with data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Serve as a resource and provide guidance to staff on patient flow processes and best practices.
  9. Act as a liaison between nursing units, departments, and external facilities to facilitate transfers and referrals as needed.
  10. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about changes in policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient flow.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  12. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving the overall quality of patient care.
  13. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to patient flow and utilize this knowledge to make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams.

  • Proficient In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Able To Analyze And Interpret Data To Optimize Patient Flow And Throughput.
