
RN - Maternity (LDRP) FT Nights
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Maternity (LDRP) looking for a new opportunity? - Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers and newborns in the Maternity (LDRP) unit.
- Utilize knowledge and experience in LDRP to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and address potential complications or issues during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and rights, and ensure that their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being are being met.
- Stay updated on current best practices and developments in the field of maternity nursing.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to creating a positive work environment.
- Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nursing staff.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients and their families.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to provide the highest level of care for patients.
- Take on additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For Rn Positions At Atrium Health. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Prepares Individuals For The Complex And Specialized Care Required In The Maternity (Ldrp) Unit.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: All Rns Must Be Licensed In The State Where They Practice. A Current And Active Rn License Is A Non-Negotiable Requirement For The Rn - Maternity (Ldrp) Ft Nights Job At Atrium Health.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Ldrp: Atrium Health Typically Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery, Postpartum, And/Or Newborn Nursery Nursing. This Ensures That The Rn Has A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Needs Of Maternity Patients And Is Prepared To Provide High-Quality Care.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is Required For All Rn Positions At Atrium Health. This Certification Ensures That The Rn Is Trained In Essential Life-Saving Techniques And Can Respond Quickly In Emergency Situations.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification: Atrium Health Also Requires Rns In The Maternity (Ldrp) Unit To Have Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification. This Certification Is Specifically Designed For Healthcare Providers Who May Be Involved In The Delivery Or Care Of Newborns And Ensures That The Rn Is Prepared To Respond To Neonatal Emergencies.
