
Respiratory Care Assistant

- Assist in the delivery of respiratory care to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist
- Monitor and document patients' respiratory status and response to treatments
- Administer nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with respiratory procedures, such as intubation and extubation, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertion
- Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of respiratory equipment and report any malfunctions or need for maintenance
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
Associate's Degree In Respiratory Care Or Related Field
Certification As A Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt)
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Respiratory Care
Knowledge Of Respiratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Mechanical Ventilation And Oxygen Therapy
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
