  1. Provide mentorship and support to new nurses during their transition into their role at Atrium Health.
  2. Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and implement orientation programs for new nurses.
  3. Assess the learning needs of new nurses and create customized orientation plans to ensure their success.
  4. Serve as a resource for new nurses, answering questions and providing guidance on clinical skills, policies and procedures, and best practices.
  5. Monitor the progress of new nurses and provide feedback and coaching to help them improve.
  6. Facilitate communication and collaboration between new nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
  7. Participate in the evaluation and improvement of the residency program.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of new nurses' progress and orientation activities.
  9. Serve as a role model for professional behavior and excellence in patient care.
  10. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
  11. Continuously stay updated on best practices and advancements in nursing and share knowledge with new nurses.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  13. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to advocate for the needs of patients and their families.
  14. Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences as required to enhance knowledge and skills.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to Atrium Health's mission of improving health, elevating hope, and advancing healing for all patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Acute Care Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Proficiency In Clinical Nursing Skills And Procedures.

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
