  1. Conduct laboratory experiments and procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  2. Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support research projects.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities and results.
  4. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during experiments or with equipment.
  6. Prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring proper inventory levels and ordering as needed.
  7. Collaborate with research teams to develop and optimize experimental protocols.
  8. Train and supervise junior lab technicians and students on laboratory procedures and techniques.
  9. Participate in the planning and execution of research studies, including organizing and coordinating sample collection and data management.
  10. Stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques, and make recommendations for implementation in research projects.
  11. Communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors, and external collaborators to provide updates and discuss results.
  12. Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of research data.
  13. Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve laboratory processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  15. Serve as a representative of Atrium Health by promoting our mission and values in all interactions with colleagues, patients, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Research Laboratory Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Techniques And Equipment.

  • Proficiency In Data Analysis And Statistical Software, As Well As Experience With Laboratory Information Management Systems (Lims).

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Researchers, Physicians, And Other Team Members.

  • Knowledge Of Biosafety Protocols And Experience Handling Hazardous Materials In A Laboratory Setting.
