
Rehab Technician

In this role, you will work closely with physical therapists and occupational therapists to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey. - Assist physical therapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing rehabilitation.
- Work closely with patients to ensure their safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
- Monitor and record patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the therapist.
- Set up and prepare equipment and supplies needed for therapy sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, patients, and other healthcare team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Foster a culture of empathy, compassion, and teamwork within the rehabilitation department.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Rehab Technician Position At Atrium Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Understanding Of Academic Subjects And Organizational Skills.
Certification As A Physical Therapy Aide: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Certification Program As A Physical Therapy Aide. This Certification Demonstrates A Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In Assisting With Physical Therapy Treatments.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center, Is Highly Desirable For A Rehab Technician Role. This Experience Will Provide Candidates With A Basic Understanding Of Healthcare Procedures And Terminology.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Rehab Technician Needs To Work Closely With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport With Patients And Working Effectively In A Team Environment.
Basic Computer Skills: Atrium Health Utilizes Electronic Medical Record Systems, And Basic Computer Skills Are Necessary For Entering Patient Information, Scheduling Appointments, And Accessing Treatment Plans.
