  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  2. Ensure all patient information is recorded and entered correctly into electronic databases.
  3. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorization for services.
  4. Collect patient payments and process insurance claims.
  5. Schedule patient appointments and ensure timely follow-up.
  6. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure quality patient care.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  11. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the registration area.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Attend training and educational sessions to stay current on hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  15. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Health Information Administrator (Rhia) Or Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Registration Or Admissions Role.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Verification, And Electronic Health Records.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Handle Sensitive Patient Information And Maintain Confidentiality.
