  1. Provide exceptional care to patients undergoing same day procedures.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Monitor patient's vital signs and assess for any changes or complications during and after procedures.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and any necessary follow-up instructions.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Continuously monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure their needs are met.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Rn License: A Registered Nurse At Atrium Health Must Have A Current And Active Rn License From The Appropriate State Licensing Board.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: Candidates Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. A Higher Level Of Education Demonstrates A Commitment To The Field And Provides Advanced Knowledge In Patient Care.

  • Prior Experience In A Same Day Procedure Center: Previous Experience Working In A Same Day Procedure Center Or Ambulatory Surgery Center Is Preferred. This Experience Ensures Familiarity With The Specific Needs And Challenges Of This Type Of Healthcare Setting.

  • Acls And Bls Certification: Atrium Health Requires Registered Nurses To Have Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications. These Certifications Are Necessary For Providing Emergency Care And Support In Critical Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Crucial For A Registered Nurse In A Same Day Procedure Center. Additionally, Critical Thinking Skills Are Necessary For Making Quick And Informed Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
