- Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Surgical Trauma ICU.
- Collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and response to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and other documentation.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and provide input on patient care plans.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based care in the field of surgical trauma nursing.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during difficult and stressful times.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by nurse manager or other members of the leadership team.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.
Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Surgical Trauma Icu Setting.
Acls And Bls Certifications.
