  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgery.
  2. Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective surgical outcomes.
  3. Utilize clinical expertise to assess and monitor patient's condition during the perioperative period.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their surgical procedures and post-operative care.
  7. Monitor and maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment.
  8. Act as a patient advocate and ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
  9. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate and provide comprehensive care.
  10. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and address any potential complications during surgery.
  11. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with evidence-based practices and procedures.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless and coordinated patient experience.
  15. Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment within the operating room team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position.

  • Active Rn License: Must Hold A Valid And Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of North Carolina Or Be Eligible To Obtain One.

  • Previous Or Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Operating Room Setting Is Preferred.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Prior To Starting In The Role.

  • Strong Communication And Team Collaboration Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Colleagues In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Essential For Success In This Role. Additionally, The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial In The Operating Room Setting.
