- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients on the Med Surg Observation unit, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Assess and monitor patients' health status and respond promptly to any changes or concerns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and prioritize patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, performing life-saving measures as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices and advancements in healthcare.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and respectful care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution
Valid Rn License In The State Of North Carolina Or Compact State
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Med Surg Observation Unit
Current Bls And Acls Certifications
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, Able To Work Well In A Fast-Paced Environment And Collaborate With Interprofessional Team Members.
