1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department.
2. Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans for patients.
5. Educate patients and families on prenatal and postpartum care, including breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum depression.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
7. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during the labor and delivery process.
8. Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby during and after delivery.
9. Identify and respond to any complications or emergencies that may arise during labor and delivery.
10. Communicate effectively with physicians, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and status.
11. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
12. Participate in continuing education and training to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge.
