Job Description

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Hospice team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing holistic and supportive care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.   1. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families in a hospice setting.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of personalized care plans for each patient.
  3. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs on a regular basis.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care and support to patients and their families.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the hospice philosophy and provide emotional support during end-of-life care.
  7. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  8. Maintain and update patient records and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to hospice care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  11. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent care and service to patients and their families.
  13. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
  14. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and facilitate patient care.
  15. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Registered Nurse License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Hospice Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Hospice Care Is Required For This Position. This Includes Experience In Pain Management, Symptom Control, And End-Of-Life Care.

  • Bls Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In Hospice Care, And The Candidate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members.

  • Compassion And Empathy: Hospice Care Requires A High Level Of Emotional Intelligence And The Ability To Provide Compassionate And Empathetic Care To Patients And Their Families During A Difficult Time. The Candidate Must Possess These Qualities To Be Successful In This Role.
