Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Atrium Health as a Cardiac Progressive Nurse. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest quality of care.   1. Provide specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills in cardiac nursing.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status, identifying any changes or complications and taking appropriate action.
  4. Administer medications and treatments according to physician's orders and nursing protocols.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are addressed and respected.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  8. Stay current on advancements and best practices in cardiac nursing and apply them in patient care.
  9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, promoting a compassionate and empathetic environment.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality and coordinated care.
  13. Act as a resource and mentor for other nursing staff, sharing knowledge and expertise in cardiac nursing.
  14. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold ethical standards of nursing practice.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing evidence-based practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Progressive Care Unit

  • Bls And Acls Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Preferred

  • Knowledge And Experience In Caring For Patients With Cardiac Conditions, Including Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, And Post-Cardiac Surgery Care
