  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
  2. Utilize strong nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, including any changes in symptoms or treatment plans.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  7. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve upon nursing practices to ensure high-quality care.
  10. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or needs they may have.
  11. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  12. Assist in the coordination of care between different healthcare providers and departments.
  13. Serve as a resource for patients, families, and colleagues regarding cancer and blood disorders.
  14. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on the latest developments in oncology nursing.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Atrium Health in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Active Rn License In The State Of North Carolina

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Oncology Or Hematology Nursing

  • Knowledge Of Current Treatments And Protocols For Cancer And Blood Disorders
