- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, on patients with sports-related injuries.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging protocols and techniques for each patient.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging results and patient information.
- Educate and prepare patients for their imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
- Monitor patient response to imaging procedures and report any unusual reactions or complications to the appropriate medical staff.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Stay current on the latest advancements and developments in radiology and sports medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging services are provided to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiography.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Sports Medicine Or Orthopedic Setting.
Knowledge Of Specialized Imaging Techniques And Equipment Used In Sports Medicine, Such As Mri And Ct.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Quality Patient Care.
