1. Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed by the healthcare team.
2. Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional.
3. Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Collaborate with other members of the mental health care team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
6. Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed, in accordance with hospital procedures.
7. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues to provide support and promote a positive therapeutic relationship.
8. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality and implementing appropriate boundaries.
10. Remain current on best practices, evidence-based treatments, and advancements in the field of mental health to continuously improve patient care.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety regulations, infection control protocols, and documentation guidelines.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising licensed mental health professional or hospital leadership.
