
Proton Medical Physicist
At Atrium Health, we are seeking an experienced Proton Medical Physicist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advancing the field of proton therapy and use their expertise to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care.The successful candidate will bring a strong background in physics, ideally with a Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field. They will also possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as an in-depth knowledge of radiation safety and radiation protection. A working knowledge of the principles of proton therapy, and experience with proton treatment planning and delivery, is highly desirable.If you have the knowledge and experience to help us advance our mission of providing exceptional patient care, then we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced physics knowledge and expertise to ensure the highest quality of proton therapy care for patients.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure patient safety and appropriate delivery of proton therapy treatments.
- Develop and implement radiation safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
- Manage proton treatment planning and delivery.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the principles of proton therapy.
- Provide excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in research initiatives and professional development activities related to proton therapy.
Ability To Interpret And Analyze Data
Bs. Or M.s. In Physics Or Related Field
