
PHYSICIAN-Program Director Family Medicine

- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Family Medicine program in collaboration with the organization's leadership team.
- Oversee the daily operations of the program, including scheduling, budgeting, and staffing.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor qualified faculty and staff to ensure the program's success.
- Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment for residents and students.
- Develop and maintain curriculum and educational materials that align with industry standards and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the program's effectiveness and make necessary changes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between the program and external stakeholders, including medical schools, hospitals, and community organizations.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for resident candidates and oversee their progress throughout the program.
- Foster a culture of research and scholarly activity within the program.
- Collaborate with other program directors and healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in Family Medicine and incorporate new technologies and techniques into the program.
- Represent the program and the organization at conferences, seminars, and other professional events.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and continuous learning.
- Uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards of care in all aspects of the program.
Medical Degree: The Physician-Program Director Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Family Medicine By The American Board Of Family Medicine Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Family Medicine.
Experience In Family Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Practicing As A Family Medicine Physician, With A Strong Understanding Of The Specialty And Its Best Practices.
Leadership Experience: The Physician-Program Director Must Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably As A Program Director Or In A Similar Capacity, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing A Team And Implementing New Initiatives.
Teaching Experience: Atrium Health Is Committed To Providing Excellent Medical Education, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Teaching Medical Students And Residents In A Clinical Setting. Previous Experience As A Faculty Member Or Preceptor Is Highly Preferred.
