
Physician Office Laboratory Assistant

- Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Greet and assist patients with the check-in process, including verifying patient information and insurance coverage.
- Collect and process various specimens, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, keeping track of inventory and ordering as needed.
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Communicate results to physicians in a timely manner, highlighting any abnormal findings.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy regulations when handling patient information.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory tests and procedures.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls, as needed.

Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, With Preference Given To Candidates Who Have Completed A Post-Secondary Education Program In Medical Laboratory Technology Or A Related Field.
Laboratory Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting Is Preferred, With Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment, Techniques, And Safety Protocols.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Accurately Record And Analyze Data, Perform Tests And Procedures, And Maintain A High Level Of Precision In All Tasks Is Crucial In This Role.
