
Physician - Cardiovascular Surgeon

- Perform complex cardiovascular surgical procedures, including open heart surgeries, valve replacements, and bypass surgeries, with precision and expertise.
- Diagnose and treat patients with various cardiovascular conditions, including congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into consideration their individual needs and medical history.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other physicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in cardiovascular medicine and surgical techniques to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other physicians and medical staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for each patient, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with clear and compassionate explanations of their condition and treatment options.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards in the operating room and other clinical settings.

Medical Degree: A Candidate For A Physician - Cardiovascular Surgeon Position At Atrium Health Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Cardiovascular Surgery By The American Board Of Thoracic Surgery (Abts) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Surgery (Aobs).
Residency And Fellowship Training: Atrium Health Requires Candidates To Have Completed A Residency In General Surgery And A Fellowship In Cardiovascular Surgery. The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Post-Graduate Training In These Specialties.
State Medical License: All Candidates Must Have A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of North Carolina, Where Atrium Health Is Located. Candidates Who Are Not Licensed In The State Must Be Willing To Obtain One.
Experience: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Cardiovascular Surgery. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Surgeries And Patient Outcomes.
