- Provide quality patient care: The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is to assist the Physical Therapist in providing high-quality care to patients. This includes implementing treatment plans, performing exercises and modalities, and monitoring patient progress.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team: The PTA will work closely with the physical therapy team, including the Physical Therapist, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. This may involve discussing treatment plans, sharing patient progress, and making recommendations for adjustments to the treatment plan.
- Assist with patient evaluations: The PTA will assist the Physical Therapist in conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations of patients. This may involve taking measurements, recording patient information, and administering standardized tests.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation: It is the responsibility of the PTA to accurately document all patient treatments, progress, and any changes in condition. This documentation is important for tracking patient progress and ensuring proper billing and reimbursement.

Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
State Licensure As A Physical Therapist Assistant.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably With Experience In An Acute Care Or Rehabilitation Hospital.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Knowledge Of Current Physical Therapy Techniques And Treatments, As Well As Ability To Assist In Creating And Implementing Individualized Treatment Plans For Patients.
